All my life I have been a very active person, and also a trim and slim one. I have never had a overweight issue, in fact during my twenties I desperately wanted to put weight on. So I would do body building exercises, lots of them. They were very boring and very hard work, but i suppose we’ve come a long way since then.

Actually, it is more fun to lose weight than to try to gain weight!

Being overweight can contribute to numerous health issues. i.e: diabetes; heart disease; Joint problems and many more health issues.

Losing weight will dramatically help to combat all of the above. If you have never done so then it might be a good idea to go and have your bma. (body mass index), checked by your GP.

1. You must set a few goals – without goals it is difficult to achieve your aim in anything

2. You must actually want to lose weight. Shake away that inertia!

3. Visualize yourself as a new creation. Start telling yourself daily that you are becoming thinner.

4. Eat plenty of high fibre foods eg. fruit, vegetables, wholegrain bread, oats, and there’s a whole lot more. They will fill you up so you eat less.

5. Start doing things like having a new hair cut or hair-do. You will suddenly look and feel better, especially with this gorgeous weather we’re having at the moment

6. You need water!

7. I don’t know where you live, but here in UK there are many organizations that conduct a weekly walk. It is usually free. You simply turn up on a designated day, say about 10 O’clock in the morning to join the rest of the group and begin to walk through some of the most beautiful green areas of London, or wherever you happen to live.

This is definitely one of the most enjoyable ways of keeping fit and losing weight. If there are no organized walks in your area, why not start one? You’ll find this a great way of shedding those pounds, and also meeting new people!

You could also start a group cycling program for people wishing to lose weight in your local area by putting up adverts in your local community areas and doctor’s surgery, on their notice board. Do it now while the weather is so beautiful, and have fun losing those pounds!

Have you noticed how people who fast often are never overweight?

Also, people who go to church on a regular basis are hardly ever overweight. There is something about worshiping and prayer, it does seem to regulate the metabolic system.

One of the most shocking thing about the whole experience of being overweight is finding that none of your favourite clothes fits any more!

When making an informative speech, your goal is to be able to impart some information to the listeners. At the end of your speech, you expect your listeners to be able to retain the pertinent information in your speech.

When you are preparing for an informative speech, in-depth research is necessary to create the body of speech. This is what differs this type of speech from other types. Although your speech will still include your personal views, you need to be subtle in expressing them.

Delivering an informative speech is similar to giving a lecture on a specific topic. You need to carefully choose your words so that they are appropriate to the audience and the topic. Therefore, it is important that you also need to research on the professional backgrounds of the audience during your speech.

If you were asked to give an informative speech, your choice of topic is usually limited to the theme of the event, the type of audience and your professional expertise. However, if you are giving a speech as part of an oral exercise or a class presentation, you may choose from the following topics when preparing your speech.

* Health

The popular informative speech topics include those that are related to health and well-being. Encourage the listeners to have a healthy lifestyle by discussing the facts and issues related to health and proper diet. You may also discuss a new exercise program for losing weight and a diet plan that will help shed excess body fat. You can also tackle methods of health measurement including taking body weight, measurements, body mass index and glycemic index.

* Environment

Another popular topic during speeches are those on environmental preservation. Representatives of environmental organizations discuss the effects of genetically modified organisms in different forums. If you would like to create a similar speech, you may also include a list of toxic substances and give the details on how they affect the environment.

* Other researches

This type of speech is best for giving the audience the details of personal researches. If you have done a laboratory experiment, it’s results are best discussed using this speech format.

One of the challenges when giving an informative speech is how to keep your listeners interested and how to keep their interest. In will help if you can inject some relevant humor into your speech. You can also relate your topic to popular issues that can catch the interest of your listeners. As much as possible, limit your speech to about thirty minutes.

The Nintendo Wii revolution continues with the pending launch of the new Wii Fitness products as announced at this year’s E3 2007. This brand new product from Nintendo, called Wii Fit, will take the form of a balance board controller accessory and a bundled exercise game.

The Wii Fitness products take off from where Wii Sports started by introducing active-play games that are not only great fun to play, but also great exercise as well. In fact the Wii balance board brings exercise and fitness for the entire body. The software and balance board is aimed at a large array of exercise based fun, including dancing, aerobics, balancing, and of course games.

The Wii Fit software uses the balance board to compile data in order to plan your fitness progress over a period of time. The software’s fitness measurement system can collect data about an individual in order to keep track of their fitness goals. The fitness readings are presented in the way of a graph that measures your body mass index (BMI) and will adapt your Mii character accordingly. The Mii character is a animated character that represents an individual player’s physique, so it’s important to enter your stats correctly for accurate progress analysis.

Once your personal settings are calibrated, you can then start to have fun playing the fitness mini games. One of the most fun Wii Fitness games looks like the football heading game, in which the players are required to move their heads in the right direction to head the oncoming balls. Other mini games include doing hula hoops by shaking your hips and a marble madness style game where your balance is key to winning. The more serious fitness style games include doing strenuous balancing exercises, press-ups, and yoga.

The release date has still not been announced and neither has the price, but the price is rumoured to be in the range of $49 to $69. What the new Nintendo Wii Fitness products will hopefully bring is a whole new line up of interactive games. Who knows yet, but I can already imagine the likes of skiing, snowboarding, skate boarding, and so on. Maybe these future games could be used in conjunction with the Wii remote for a complete interactive experience?

Whatever happens next, the Nintendo Wii and the new Wii Fitness range are taking the console to a new level that the likes of Microsoft and Sony will find tough to match, especially at Nintendo’s affordable prices.

Bariatric surgery unsafe – Phentermine safe!

By some standards, there is a disturbing social trend where people choose the easy way to achieve the desired results. At one end of the spectrum are the people who, when they disagree with the tax authorities, crash their light airplanes into the tax offices – there is no quicker and easier way to register your unhappiness. And then there are the rapidly increasing number of people who opt for bariatric surgery to lose weight. In fact, the number of operations performed in the US has doubled over the last six years. No more struggle to keep to a diet and exercising. Just a quick and easy operation to solve all your weight problems. So how safe is it? Well, such evidence as exists suggests the operation is a success in up to 44% of all cases. With just one surgical intervention, your body mass index (BMI) falls rapidly and there are no complications. But, in up to 56% of cases, the surgeons feel they have to recommend what is delicately called revisional surgery, usually because you have not lost enough weight, but also because some experience “complications” – another delicate term suggesting there is a chance of death unless the surgeon goes back inside to do repairs. And this is where the statistics get exciting. The death rate during or following revisional surgery used to be 50%. But, the death rate has been dropping as surgeons gain more experience and technology improves.

The latest research comes out of Greece. It confirms the drop in the death rate, but finds a continuing high rate in “complications” over an average of eight years following the second procedure. Surgery was performed on people with a BMI average of 47, which is high and may partly explain why complications were more common. For the record, the patients who repeated the operation because they had not lost enough weight dropped from an average BMI of 55 to an average of 35 – a drop of almost 70% in their excess weight. More generally, Greek surgeons keep almost everyone alive, but these people are still badly damaged. A recent report from the US claims that, following the gastric bypass procedure, only 10% of patients have revisional surgery, but it is admitted the percentages increase for the other types of surgery. Unlike Greece, there have been no research projects collecting evidence over longer periods of time. Literally, no-one knows the current rates of complications or death related to revisional surgery.

It is not the purpose of this article to suggest you should never have bariatric surgery. Some who have tried and failed to lose weight the conventional way should consider the option. But it is not unfair to point out that no-one dies from eating a healthy diet, supported by the use of phentermine hcl. There are no complications of bile leaking internally from the site of an operation. Yes, there may be some injuries if people begin too violent a program of physical exercise. With the help and supervision of therapists, this risk can be minimized. What can be said is that the death rate from people who eat sensible amounts and buy phentermine online is insignificant when compared to surgery. Given the international rates for revisional surgery (not contradicted by any US research), you might decide the risks of complications are just too great. With fifty years of proven effectiveness, phentermine hcl helps more people lose weight safely than surgery.
