When speaking of weight loss, the greatest hurdle that people experience is how to start. They just don’t have any strategy of where to begin from! If you belong to one of these persons in that case this post is the answer!

It would not really matter if you are looking to burn away 5 or 50 lbs, the tricks I am going to reveal you in this story are going to be of assistance for you no matter what! The first action for successful slimming is to set a few goals.

Goals must be used identically as milestones. As without any milestone, you will have no insight of where you are going, without a goal, you will have no insight of how much efforts you have to do to shed all the excess pounds!

Firstly you have to ask yourself some questions- how much body mass you wish to drop and by when you expect to shed all the body mass? After that mark down thoughts about your questions on a piece of paper.

Before I overlook, let me explain you that creating your goals is one of the absolute ways of making sure that you won’t forget them! Write your slimming goals on a slice of paper, make copies of that paper, and stick every paper on each place you can.

Make sure you don’t forget to stick this paper on your fridge and kitchen area, since it is in these spots that the demon called temptation tries to crush your weight loss attempts! Setting goals is still not enough; if you want to make the goals manageable, you should set reasonable goals. If you have a goal of shedding sixty lbs within a several weeks or a month, that will not happen.

Setting these unpractical objectives for yourself will nullify the very result of goal setting. After you determine unpractical objectives for yourself and fail to achieve the same, you will be disheartened and frustrated with yourself and your slimming attempts. Ideally, no matter what you do, you would be able to lose no more than 1-2 lbs weekly.

So establish your goals appropriately. In case you want to drop sixty pounds, it will take you a minimum of 5-6 months to achieve the same! Create small and manageable goals for yourself so when you achieve them, you will feel more positive to go forward. This is the most important secret of successful slimming!

So, your fridge is running water down the inside, and it is pooling up on the bottom of it and spoiling your food in the process. Don’t throw that fridge out yet! It may be time to clean out your drain. Required Tools Screwdriver (Optional) Cooler Required Materials Pipe Cleaner Water & Vinegar Instructions: 1.First, you will be required to ensure that your “water cup” if you have a traditional freezer-on-top configuration. This is going to be located at the back of the fridge, behind the dials and light. You may need to remove the dials and light using a screwdriver. After finding the cup, check to see if it is filled with water. If it is, this is generally a good sign that the drain hose in the back is clogged. If you have a side-by-side configuration, the drain hole will be in the back of the freezer at the bottom. You may be required to remove the condenser to reach it. If it is clogged, there is probably a good amount of ice on it as well. This will be a good indication it is clogged. 2.If the container is full, then you should suck out the water with a turkey baster. If the water cup is removable, you can take it out and wash it with warm water. While it is out, you will be able to pour a 50/50 vinegar and water mixture down the drain tube. This will clear it out and keep it from freezing up on you. A pipe cleaner may help cleaning out especially clogged drains. If the side-by-side has it’s drain clogged, you may need to unplug it and wait for the drain to unthaw. Use the cooler to put your food in so that it won’t thaw out, and you can even put it in the fridge and close the door to keep it cool in there while it is unplugged. It may take as long as 4 or 5 hours to unthaw. 3.If you have the standard setting and it continues to leak, check the drain in the freezer. It should be located underneath the coils in the rear. Run some water and vinegar through the drain to see if it is clogged. If it is blocked, you can put your frozen food in a cooler; unplug it and wait a while. This should unfreeze the drain; once unfrozen, run water down it to see if it is unblocked. If not, use the pipe cleaner and see if you can push it down there to get it unblocked. Tips & Warnings If your fridge is leaking on the floor, there could be multiple problems. Visit the manufacturer’s website in the resources section for the possible issues.

Day 2 – Follow My Weight Loss Program – A Little Harder

I just finished up day 2 of my nutrition and exercise program, although I haven’t really done any serious exercising other than walking the dog, and doing work, but I will get to more on that in a moment.

After going through 2 days of this I realize, my cupboards and fridge are filled with absolutely nothing healthy to eat. It was quite difficult to conjure up 5 meals throughout the day that would be classified as healthy. So much so, that I don’t think they were all healthy, but I have learned from doing a lot of reading, that I should control my portion size, so that is what I did.

Most of the foods I ate on Day 2 are about the same as they were on day 1. What I did notice, is that I did not get enough vegetables, especially the leafy green kind, throughout the day. I tried to incorporate some on Day 2 in the form of fresh spinach mixed with romaine lettuce in salads. My goal is to include veggies in meals 1 through 4, with the final meal being a protein only.

More research I have read says that eating after 6:00 pm (although some sources said 7:00pm) can contribute to weight gain, since most people’s bodies slow down at the time. I also read that too many carbs and “bad” fats (we’ll get more into that in another posting), can contribute to weight gain as well. Putting both of these statements of knowledge together has lead me to eat a protein only meal as my last meal of the day.

Now back to my exercise routine, or lack thereof. Currently I am only walking the dog, and as part time work, I renovate homes, doing a lot of lifting of material, etc. The plan is to incorporate a weight and aerobic exercise program, which studies have shown, combined with a healthy nutrition plan will accelerate weight loss.

With that said, at some point during my busy day, I will head over to the local sporting goods store and pick up some weights, maybe a bench, and basically see what they have that fits within my budget. As for aerobics, the outside comes free of charge, and my legs work wonderfully, so I don’t see any reason why the dog and I can’t start running in the morning or evening. We’ll see what he thinks about it.

Regards,

Mike P.

Day 2

NUTRITION

Meal 1: Whole wheat waffles with natural peanut butter spread on them

Meal 2: Banana with natural peanut butter

Meal 3: Grilled cheese sandwhich on multi-grain bread

Meal 4: Natural peanut butter on whole wheat waffle, spinach salad

Meal 5: Mixed green salad with sunflower seeds and a Gorton’s baked fish fillet

EXERCISE

Again exercise consisted of walking the dog in the morning for about 15 minutes and then again in the evening for about 40 minutes.

NOTES

Not a alot of variety in the food department as that is really what I had to work with. Will more than likely go shopping on Day 3 to pick up items I will need for the remainder of the week. Also I will be noting my weight on a weekly basis, every Monday.
